Privacy policy

Lootsniper ("we") runs lootsniper.com. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because there is not much to say.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and a hashed password.
- Your mobile number, only if you add one for text alerts. We store it once you confirm it with a code.
- The product links you ask us to watch, any nickname or price limit you set, and the stock status we see.
- A record of each alert, account email or text we send you, so we can check it was delivered.
- Your IP address, in server logs and in the rate limits that protect the login form. We rotate logs regularly.
Why we collect it
To run the service you signed up for: checking product pages, sending you alerts, and letting you log in. The legal basis is performance of our contract with you. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell or share it with data brokers.
Who processes it
- Mailjet (Sinch) sends our emails and text messages. They see your email address or mobile number and the content of the message.
- Apify may load shop pages on our behalf. Apify never sees who asked for a product to be checked; it only receives the product link.
- Our hosting provider stores the database and logs.
Cookies
We use two cookies, both strictly necessary: a session cookie so you stay logged in while you browse, and, if you tick "keep me logged in", a remember-me cookie that lasts 30 days. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete your account. Stock check history is trimmed after 30 days and message logs after 180 days. Deleting your account removes your details, watches and message history immediately.
Your rights
You can see and change your details in Settings and delete your account there too. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct or erase it by emailing hello@lootsniper.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
